IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU...

I’ve been fascinated by people – different cultures, deep belief systems, amazing sacrifices and even greater successes… It is true that some people really do have a strong and invincible spirit – so much so that, no matter their challenges, they will always overcome them….

Which led me to think: are they ‘special’ in some form or other… are they ‘blessed’ with gifts and abilities that are superior… do they have some ‘hidden secret to success’… or are they just lucky …? or – I shudder to even consider this – does God like them better than the rest of us… ?

The answer is a resounding NO !  They are just like you and me, no more and no less… just your everyday ‘Human’.

So, why do they succeed when so many others don’t ?  Why are they able to overcome even the most challenging situations … and why are they so darn happy !?! [don’t they know that it’s not all just fun and roses… that the whole world has not ever experienced global peace… that it’s a claw-your-way-to-the-top, or be stepped on, dog-eat-dog out there… What is wrong with them… and why are they so darned successful …!!?]

And, after many years of seeking, the answer finally revealed itself – they simply turn within… look at their own Life first , stop getting carried away by all the stupidity and chaos that is far too common in society, AND take care of their own happiness first… [which also includes family and friends].

So – the answer is truly that simple…but has some interesting insights …

We waste far too much time wallowing in gossip, shocked at the stupidity – and brutality – of others; are too often tempted by the lurid details of the latest atrocity, or by the display of ‘righteous indignation’ offered by those with hidden agendas…

Yes, I do realize that it makes for amusing commentaries by late-night talk shows… and yes, it can be quite funny… BUT… is this what you are choosing to give meaning to your Life… all this lower consciousness / manipulation / absurd propaganda / exploitation of your emotional stability… is this what you want your Life to be about …?

Don’t you realize that all this Darkness will rot your brains, and make you a simple puppets in the hands of unscrupulous abusers… and they will tell you – while smiling falsely – that it is all for your own good…

 The Spiritual Law is very clear – Whatever you put out comes back to you … [and yes, it is also in the Bible] Your success – or failure – depends purely on your investment of energy… So now you know – you can squander your Life by focusing on all that is shocking and negative … or you can claim – without a doubt – your right to choose what brings value to your Life…

Don’t you know that the more you receive, the more you have to share with those you love… You can choose to share gossip, negativity and corruption… or love, kindness and beauty [and these are the only energies that will help you overcome every challenge you may face… isn’t it worth it …?]

RAISE OUR VIBRATION

Many spiritual authors and teachers talk about raising your vibration and your radiance in the eyes of Spirit. I’ve heard both teachers and readers say that God does not judge you; he just looks at your radiance. What we call “sins”, actually lower our vibration and energy, thus making us less visible to God. However, we are not the same person that we were when we committed those sins, if we then make the effort to improve our lives. My pastor said that for Lent, maybe Catholics should give up guilt. That way we can truly enjoy the joy of Easter. After all, we are all children of Spirit, who wants us to have happy joyful lives. Enjoying music, art, and nature, and expressing gratitude for all that we have, will lift us higher.

Jesus said that the two greatest commandments are to love God above all else, and to love your neighbor as yourself. The key word is “love” and it is the key to the path of higher consciousness. You don’t love your neighbor because you will get good karmic points; you do it because you sincerely see the goodness in that person.

Serving others will not only increase your radiance in the eyes of Spirit, but it will teach you to experience the love that Jesus and other ascended masters have for us. So doing acts of kindness, helping those in need, and accepting those with different opinions, will raise our vibration to a much a higher level.

Another way to raise your vibration is to start vibrating. The way to do that is through sound vibrations. Spiritual instructors will give their students mantras to chant while meditating. There are also many mantras that you can chant, that invoke Spirit for certain intentions. When I took a class on higher consciousness, one of the topics was on chanting “Om” which is pronounced “Aum”. It is often said at the beginning, and at the end of Yoga classes. My wife told me that she knew that I was chanting “Om”, because the condo was vibrating. A student in the class said that her boyfriend had to leave her house when she was chanting, because the staircase in her house was really vibrating. You can feel the vibration in your voice, and know that Spirit is there in the vibration. When you stop and sit in silence for a few minutes afterwards, you can also hear a real high frequency. This is not to be confused tinnitus, which is ringing in the ears. It is barely audible, but you can definitely hear it. I read that some consider this to be the frequency of God. I feel that there is no better way to honor God than by chanting his name. It is probably one of the most powerful things that you can do.

Not only will chanting relieve stress, and help your blood pressure go down, but you will also notice that your overall health will begin to improve. Your will also notice that things will start going your way. Abundance and manifestation become easier. Your psychic intuition becomes clearer and life becomes more joyful. Eventually you will be able to communicate with your higher guides and angels. All of this happens because your radiance is now a lot more visible to God.

CHANGE, GROW AND PROSPER… OR NOT — THE CHOICE IS YOURS

Too often people think that just because they are ‘nice’ they will succeed, be recognized for their wonderful qualities, be rewarded by their bosses, appreciated by their lovers, and even be protected and kept safe. Unfortunately nothing is further from the truth – I wish it was, but the harsh reality is simply that Life doesn’t work that way… and there’s a very good reason for this. You see, the whole point of being on this planet is to learn, to understand right from wrong, and who or what creates this, to use this insight and grow in Power so that, finally, we can be active in making this a better world, truly a Brotherhood of Man. If you are one of the ‘nice people’ do you deserve all these wonderful accolades? Absolutely !

Are you likely to get them? Well, not so much … unless you are one of the lucky few who are born in the right family, and grew up surrounded by loving people – very rare…possible, but very rare  [just don’t hold your breath]

What you need to understand is that all these great qualities are very precious, and they should be safeguarded, sheltered from the too common users and abusers of this world… You need to learn discrimination, so that you know who to share yourself with, who can truly understand how unique you are, and embrace the special radiance that is you.

Remember the verse in the Bible “Do not cast pearls before swine”… it is not the swine’s fault for trampling all over these precious gems… so take responsibility for how you use your treasured gifts … they are not ‘common mud’ to be disposed of so easily – you have worked very hard, and for many lifetimes to get to this point of cherished sensitivity.

“But what of family, of childhood friends, of long-time colleagues… What if they are the ones that use, or even abuse, me…?!”

Well, what of it… every one of us loudly declares Who we really are, by our words and actions… there is no hiding behind family ties, or social expectations… An Animalistic Consciousness can only be that – and nothing else… so what if you’d hoped that family, friends, lovers would live up to a higher, lofty ideal… it is up to you to choose and shape your Life accordingly. The truth is before you  – do not be the enabler to their dysfunctions…

SIGNS

About ten years ago, I had developed severe pain in my shoulders so that I couldn’t lift my arms above my shoulders. My wife had gone for a Reiki session and suggested that I try it. So I did, and I felt extremely calm and peaceful. After such a wonderful experience I went back for a few more sessions. I noticed that the pain was completely gone. I also noticed that during each session, because my eyes were closed, I would see purple splotches fade in and out, and I felt a tingling in the center of my eyebrows. I had never come across anything like this before, and so then I began to explore holistic medicine and spirituality, and came across the Shining Lotus Metaphysical Bookstore. My Reiki Master also encouraged me to meditate, and thus I began my journey in Metaphysics. There were classes offered at the bookstore as well as guided meditations. The meditations made me feel great, and I experienced the same sensations as in the Reiki sessions.

Then one night a little over five years ago, I fainted and was rushed to the hospital. It turned out to be Atrial Fibrillation, which is commonly called Afib. The doctors decided that I needed a pacemaker, which would not let my pulse go below 60, but it was not able to prevent it from going way higher than normal. Having read in a couple of books, about how angels can give us signs, by finding feathers, coins, or seeing a long lost friend, I asked Archangel Raphael for a sign that I was going to be okay before I began my usual walk at Wash Park.  Specifically, I asked to see a feather. Not long after starting my walk, I saw several goose feathers on the grass. Well I thought, there are plenty of geese at the park, and the books stated that the feathers were to be found in places where it would not be usual to find feathers. So I stated, “I want to see a great big white feather!” After I walked a few hundred yards, there hanging from a rear view mirror in a car, was the biggest white feather I had ever seen in my life!

I was dumbfounded, and my jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe what I had seen. I stumbled forward on my walk not knowing what to do. I finally gathered my senses, and I thought I’d check the car on my second lap around the park, but it was gone. I kept asking for signs and a couple of months later, I saw on old colleague friend whom I hadn’t seen in 15 years. We chatted about the good times we had, and then departed. Then I remembered that seeing an old friend was a sign, and it was right where I had seen the feather. So I kept asking for signs, and again in the near proximity of where I had seen the other signs, was a bright copper penny sitting on the curb. I thought hmm, and got the feeling that someone was telling me in a stern tone, “Well Robert, have you seen enough.”

Over the next couple of years when I would have my pacemaker checked, and at first there were only a few events of Afib with each lasting a few seconds. Then the episodes got longer and I could feel my heart racing. The cardiologist tried a couple of medications, and I would feel faint due to low blood pressure from the side effects. To make matters worse, a friend of mine that I had worked with many years ago, and was two years younger than I, died from a heart attack. He was in excellent shape because he was a runner and did a lot of hiking. He was just out walking with his wife and keeled over and died. At his funeral, his younger brother talked about how his older brother was the calming influence in his family. When he was facing a dilemma, his older brother would put his hand on his shoulder and say, “Everything will be okay.”

I did research on Afib and found that it can be triggered by alcohol and caffeine.  There were positive studies that came out by using acupuncture and yoga for several months. These results were outside of the medical establishment. Proper nutrition and exercise also helped. I had been going to yoga and using acupuncture, and so when I told my acupuncturist about it, and she began treating me for Afib. Around the same time, the cardiologist prescribed a new medication. He said that if this didn’t work, I would have to undergo an expensive ablation procedure.

The next time I had my pacemaker checked, which was about a year later, there were no episodes of Afib at all. The cardiologist immediately took credit for the great results. So I asked him, “Is that the way the medication is supposed to work, or does it regulate my heart when it goes out of rhythm?” He answered with “Let’s just say that you’re doing excellent.” So I replied, “Aha, so maybe the abstinence from alcohol and caffeine, along with acupuncture, yoga, nutrition, and exercise, are helping. I didn’t dare mention Reiki, because I didn’t want to see his head to explode. Then he told me to just keep doing what I have been doing.

Just recently, I took a class on “The Spiritual Messages of Life’s Challenges”, in which the message was to understand the purpose of these challenges. These disorders move us off of our center and block our progress. It’s hard to be centered when the situation seems hopeless, there is a lot of pain, or your heart is pounding in your chest. I look back now at having Afib, and I think that it was telling me to live a better lifestyle, so that I could advance on my spiritual path.

Last month I went in for my pacemaker check up, and it had been three years since my last Afib event. When the device specialist looked at her computer screen, I asked “Any Afib?” and she replied, “Nope, you’re doing wonderful!” When I walked out into the waiting area, there was no one around. The end wall was actually glass that was about two stories high with a beautiful view of the majestic Rocky Mountains. I took time to look at the mountains and reflect. I had this great feeling of stillness. I just felt so good, and I got this feeling of someone putting his or her hand on my shoulder, and saying, “Everything is okay.”

MIRACLES AND MANIFESTATION THROUGH ENCOURAGEMENT

Most of us have had someone who inspired us to pursue our goals and dreams, whether it was a relative, a teacher, a coach, or a boss. For me, it was my Algebra teacher, who took me aside after the first semester, and asked me to meet him after school. He saw the enthusiasm and skill that I had for mathematics. He said that he didn’t want me to be held back by the rest of the class, and that we could meet 30 minutes each day after school. That way, I could make sure that I finished the textbook by the end of the year. His inspiration gave me the confidence to pursue a career in mathematics and overcome any obstacles or discouragement by other teachers or other individuals. My brother who taught school for 35 years, once showed me shoeboxes full of letters from former students, thanking him for making a difference in their lives.

There are also those who try to use a negative approach to get us to do what they want us to do.  My pastor said in one of his homilies, that maybe we spend too much time on correction versus encouragement. I think that sometimes priests and ministers focus too much on avoiding eternal damnation, versus finding the joy of heaven. I had a director and a supervisor who had different management styles. The director, who always complimented us whenever we did good work, was considered a mentor. She still had high levels of expectations, but we were happy to go above and beyond them for her. The supervisor on the other hand, was mean, and severely reprimanded anyone who didn’t produce the work exactly as she wanted. We referred to her as the tormentor. Most employees would not do anything above the minimum level of what she wanted.

The people, who encourage us, don’t do so for their own self-interest, or their own ego. They do so, because they feel that it is the right thing to do. They motivate us to have the desire necessary for us to rise to a mush higher level of achievement than we ever thought possible. If we take a step back, and look at what we were before the encouragement, compared to afterwards, it would seem like a miracle. Yet they are not the ones who performed the miracle, we did. They got us to go deep within ourselves to produce fantastic results.

Now lets take this notion to a higher level, a higher level of consciousness, if you will. There are lots and lots and lots of books at the Shining Lotus on self-improvement, and state that the answers we seek, are within us. And there are teachers at the Shining Lotus, who teach us on how to go inside of ourselves, and manifest miraculous healing and riches, which are way beyond our wildest dreams. The only limits are the limits that we place on ourselves. They teach us different metaphysical techniques that not only get us to produce health and abundance, but also help us on our spiritual path. These methods are only for the highest good, truth, wisdom, and light. The teachers have all of this wonderful knowledge and are more than willing to share it with us. Their encouragement will help us lift ourselves much closer to Spirit, and make this world a much better place. If enough of us take advantage of these wonderful opportunities, then the lyrics in the song “Crystal Blue Persuasion“ by Tommy James and the Shondells will come true.

THE SECRET FLOWER

High up in the unforgiving wilderness that is the Himalayas lies a hidden valley, called the Valley of Flowers.

Some say that this is truly Shangri-La, the Land of Everlasting Beauty… much as I would like to sustain this gentle notion, this is not the case. You see, this Valley is fairly well known by the few local tribes that live nearby … this is where young men pick the pretty flowers they give to their beloveds, this is where the few lucky bunnies come to taste the waking of Spring, this is where the Devas of the Sacred Mountains come to dance in the full moon…

This is the Valley of Joy …

And here, stuck at the very edge, forgotten by all that is beautiful, lies a little patch of snow which can never melt … No matter how much the Sun joyfully plays amongst the pretty flowers, no matter how the perfumed breezes gently meander through the Valley, they simply cannot touch this small, little, patch of snow …

Bordered by strong boulders [as if in defense of some unseen enemy] they circle the snow, guarding it from change, keeping it constant through their shadows … this they have done for thousand of years … this they will do for thousand more … for they consider it to be ‘Duty’ … and now, ‘Sacred Duty’.

But what is Time if not just a momentary breath of the Divine … and what if no judgment, no criticism, no

disapproving censure was given to these fierce guardians … what if there was simple acceptance …

Would they not, over the millennia, relax in their intense rigidity, would they not come to feel that – even though they were not like the others – yet in some strange manner, they did belong …

… and how would this affect the land, the very loving Valley which shelters them all …

And so it came to pass that in this day of Joyful Spring, for the first time, a single beautiful while flower was born out of the eternal snows … just as radiant, just as bright as the white mantel which surrounds it … and with true joy it sang a song so pure, so filled with crystal tones, that every living being around it was transported – just for a moment – to ecstasy …

Still surrounded by these strong guardians, no-one knew the source of such infinite beauty … this secret flower of the Hidden Valley … just smiled … and sang, unperturbed …

Now every year, many come to sit and rest among the colorful flowers, each with their own opinion as to the source of such pure songs … and still none thinks of looking in the one place that is believed to be barren …

Yes, every year, for just a moment, the unique blossom emerges to sing its Song of Joy … safe from turmoil of others,  thanks to the dedications of its eternal protectors who now, for some undisclosed reason, seem to be much, much more mellow …

HOW MANIFESTATION REALLY WORKS...OR NOT

Ever since ‘The Secret’ came out everyone and their uncle jumped on this band-wagon… It was going to teach the whole world how to Manifest ! abundantly ! be rich ! healthy ! find a Soul Mate ! and finally, for the first time in their Life, be truly, truly happy !!

Well, in the famous words of Dr. Phil, “How’s that working for you ?”

After all the glam and glitter settled down [and the producers made a boat load of money] what do you think happened?…  NOTHING !  Look around you – what’s changed? Has the whole world miraculously become rich and prosperous and wise and loving…? nope, zilch, zip, nil, nada… Nothing changed…

So people just shrugged off this latest ‘fad’ and moved on to the next [“Have you heard of this miraculous extract from jelly fish that’s meant to give you perfect health ?!? It’s a wonder drug !!”] No, I’m not cynical [much]… just very, very disappointed [and a little / a lot peeved at people who exploit others by giving them only superficial information !!!… ever heard of Karma ?!?]

So what’s the deal with ‘The Secret’ – it’s simply the Law of Attraction which, correctly stated is “As Within, so Without”… meaning “You can only attract/ manifest/ create that which is already within you!!” Now do you see the problem?

If you are struggling financially… hey, guess what, you can use The Secret to attract… more financial difficulties!! Hold on, that’s not what they promised you… They said you could use their techniques to get money / and health / and love and stuff…  Was it all wrong ?!  Was this just another rip off  ?! Well, not intentionally [at least, I don’t think so]… they simply left out some of the most important Foundation Work, so that this [very] ancient Law of Attraction can be made to work – correctly.

Work on yourself FIRST… there is NOTHING ‘out there’… everything exists ONLY within you… truly realize Who and What you are… and stop going after that which doesn’t belong to you  [you wouldn’t be happy even if you got it !]…

… and now, for the first time, you can truly Manifest all that is glorious and abundant in Life… Because it is the New Year – and the perfect time to examine this powerful subject – we are offering a series of workshops to guide you… from releasing past obstacles, to discovering who you are, to examining Self Worth, and even realizing that there is soooo much more that we can have… it’s a glorious trip! THE SECRETS TO UNLIMITED MANIFESTATION

Much has been written about Manifestation – from the Law of Attraction to powerful rituals, to visualization and Will Power … yet we still struggle to achieve our highest potential!

We very clear about this: ‘We struggle to achieve that which is rightfully ours … !’

Why … ?

Because none of these valuable techniques are complete – they all leave out certain essential components to proper [and safe] Manifestation.

We all know the statistics – the great majority of people who win the lottery end up in a worse financial situation within two years … and most of them are not even actively practicing manifestation techniques, so imagine how much damage someone could create for himself if he was using any of the popular systems!

So, why do people end up so poor after winning millions in a lottery?

Because deep inside of them, in their very core, in their highest Truth of Truth … they are just not ready for the personal transformation this would require – essentially, they are simply not capable of being rich!

Sounds harsh ?! Well yes, of course it is, but it is self-induced … and so they can change it [if they know how].

YES-MAN, BOGEY-MAN, BEGGAR-MAN, THIEF...

This is the story of a young man who went on a hike with those he thought were his friends.

It was warm and pleasant day, idyllic you might say... pretty flowers all in bloom, birds chirping all the way, and if thunder played far away, well, who's to say...

All was gentle, all was great... until they faced the rumbling river, and the ravine in the way. "There's a log cast across, as a bridge we must accept." "It is too dangerous," one exclaimed, "I fear we're all doomed, here to stay..."
"Stay or go back... that's our choice."
"Nonsense," said another, "just walk across... it's far too late to stay the same."
"Help me tie a rope around my waist, so if I fall you may be my saving grace!"
"Better to tie one around the neck!" said another, "thus to ensure a proper effort."
"Nonsense you old fool! All can see that it's best to crawl across. Embrace the narrow, treacherous log... hang on to it like the lover you never had... caress its gnarly bark for it is the only way - and if you get scraped... well, that's the price you pay!"
"Better inch over it, crawling like a worm... for the closer you are to it, the safer it will hold you."

The discussion grew louder and louder, tempers frayed, the sky darkened as thunder moved closer, not away.

So, the young man looked and pondered... and after proper reflection, nimbly walked across, even as his 'friends' fought... but stayed their way. Now on his journey he thought, "What strange opinions each of us have - so fast to assume the worst, and even more, doomed perceptions... Yes, to many the log was far too narrow... to me it was a bridge a mile wide! As my feet are not soooo big, it was enough to carry me, safely, to the other side."

How strange is Life... how simple - or complicated. Is it 'truth' or mere subjective perception... and what does it all mean to me...!?

Welcome to 2017... don't say I didn't warn you!!

Yes, the Path may be confusing, the suggestions even worse, and all must live through it... so - as always - the choice is yours: Live joyfully and prosper... immaterial of nay-sayers around you... or, stay stuck, and wallow even as others do...

"So, how do we deal with it all?" you ask. Simple! You just stay centered, lift yourself up by your bootstraps, and move beyond the illusion that faces you.

Mantras are truly one of the most powerful tools for creation and manifestation... basically they are the very essence of the Energies of Creation... expressed as Sound-Vibrations. They are Sacred Energies used by great Masters throughout history to connect them with a greater Power or a Divine flow of Energy. They are considered so sacred that they were kept as "the secret powers of the Gods"... used only by High Priests and Priestesses, and gave them powers 'beyond human abilities'.

For many practitioners Mantras are the invocation of Spirit, and are often used in Rites and Ceremonies, for healings and blessing, or for personal spiritual guidance and evolution... For others they are simply 'the call to action' - the calling forth of particular energies which can be used to manifest whatever is desired. Both of these perceptions are true - they simply reflect the Practitioner, and the purpose he/she wishes to create.

Mantras are very powerful, safe, and very transformative... even the most basic ones can bring about phenomenal changes in your Life. They do not require you to change your Spiritual Beliefs, nor demand any kind of personal sacrifice... just a desire to create changes in your Life. They can attract true love, wealth, spiritual guidance, awaken creativity, strengthen and support a business, bless and protect yourself and loved ones.

There is no limit to what they can do for they are the very essence of Spirit-Creator, and the Seeds of Creation.

We are offering a two month, in-depth workshop, where we will explore a broad range of Mantras in a practical, safe, hands-on program. Ah… what a fearful thing is Change…

Yes, of course it is… but consider this – would you still want to be the teenager you once were, ‘safe’ in your parents’ (rigidly structured) loving embrace… would you still want to be stuck in your first job/first kiss/ first love…? Yes, some of it is very romantic… but seriously, is it not better to grow, and change, and discover a brand new world out there, one filled with greater joy, better jobs, and even more passionate kisses…?

O.K., I can hear some of you saying, “But what if it isn’t? What if the future is NOT filled with Love, Light, Beauty… and passionate kisses? What if it is filled with frogs and snails and puppy-dog’s tails… and all I ever cared about gets taken away?” Well, so what if it is… YOU don’t have to meekly accept this very dire picture… (what? did you read too many Grimm’s Tales as a kid!?… you should have stuck with Aesop, he was much better at ‘morality’… ‘though I must confess to the thrill of Grimm’s dark visions… but I digress…)

No future is ever going to be ‘perfect’… no future abounds with easy love and prosperity, filled with French pastries and wonderful chocolate… but… you CAN seek these out, and fill your heart with all you desire… and more! (even if you need to move to France to get it… true story that!)

Sorry, again I digress!!

O.K., you are not a kid anymore, not a helpless infant at the mercy of the big, bad bogyman… Nope, not at all, in fact you are far tougher, stronger, more capable than that… for YOU are the Child of Spirit, filled with Light and Power… and able to manifest all you desire… Wanna know how? Easy…

Begin by first contemplating all that is ‘right’ about you… all your wonderful gifts/abilities/achievements… these are your Truth, your Foundation, your Power!
Next, figure out what blocks this… sometimes it is an unresolved Heart Wound, at times a belittlement/betrayal/sabotage. So, do something about this! Cleanse, heal, release… and don’t forget to once again center in your Radiance… And through this now Manifest all you desire… with no limit or restrictions (yummm, chocolate and kisses…)

Yes, you cannot stop Changes… things grow and prosper… or fail and are removed… this choice IS yours to make… so what say you? Wanna go for a ride? (there’s shopping at the end… but only if you find your Power!)

This month is dedicated to Self Empowerment, to Transformation, and to Manifestation… classes abound or those who are ready… (and for the rest of you… well, it’s still gonna be one hell of a ride!!)

NOW WHAT...?!? or LIFE IS A LEMONADE WITH JUST TOO MUCH SUGAR

So... if you thought that this was a time of Light and Enlightenment, then I have a piece of seaside property in the Bayou that you'll just loooove...

Ready for a reality check?

Nope, it's not all candy corn and no cavities... no calorie-free chocolate and wealth for all... no leaders filled with wisdom, or justice free of corruption...(does it feel like I'm just a little wee bit peeved at the state of the land... yeah, I guess I am all that, and more...)

OK, so we're not all 'perfect'... and are certainly triggered by the nonsense sprouted by our "Fearless Leaders" in their attempt to obfuscate our rational mind(that means they're clouding the issue, and feeding you a lot of bull... yeah, it's called propaganda... or politics-as-usual).
So, what are you going to do about it...? NOTHING!

Why?? Because this is your Spiritual Test... Can you resist the foolishness that's all around you... or, are you going to join in the blame game, wallow in the gossip, and point a finger at all that's wrong... because, after all, it isn't your fault that it's all so messed up...
Well, is it???

Consider this (you're not going to like it, but take a step back from your emotions, and really think about it before you reject it, OK?)

Everything is Vibrations... these clump together creating bigger and bigger Energy Fields, which then move out dominating everything else around them, attracting more of the same until finally we have an'unstoppable avalanche'... chaos and destruction ensues...
No, it's not a doomsday fantasy, it's basic Energy Anatomy... look it up if you don't believe me.

Which brings me back to you --- you can either participate in the craziness, bitching and complaining with the best of them(in which cas you'd better brush up on Karma)... or, you can choose to be a Center of Light (yes, you!!)

How's this done...? by standing still, centering in your own Inner Radiance, choosing to not gossip or participate in negative, belittling comments... and realize that this too shall pass. Where it goes depends on who wins -- Light or Darkness!!

So, focus on the beauty that's around you, on the joy of friendship, on the kindness of strangers... and if Spirit moves you, do somthing nice for others.

Become a Beacon of Light so that this negative nonsense does not root in your Heart, too...

...so, in the immortal words of the Bards: "I get by with a little help from my friends...", and to help y'all out there who might not have the 'right' friends, we've put together a few classes which are guaranteed to awaken your own Inner Light... from Secret Chakras, to Meditations for Personal Transformation, to Aura Cleansing, and the Higher Mind... and yes, even a wee bit of healing...

So, what do you say...? shine on... or shine off...? (hey, there's always Karma!!)

IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED... YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG

Yes, yes, I know... the correct saying is 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again', and, if you are Buddhist, that's correct and proper... but, if you're Taoist, that's not quite right.

Taoism considers that all Life is about Flow - a spontaneous movement created first by Nature, then by Man(provided that 'Man' here represents all that is wise and noble... and not what some politicians would have you blindly accept... but I digress...)

So, Life is Flow, and as it moves it should guide us - gently - to be part of this movement... they say that "if it's time to work, then work... and if it's time to rest, then rest." Sounds simple, doesn't it...? but here in our wonderful world we are rewarded for doing just the opposite - early bird, work late, 60 hour week, miss your kid's birthday, and show the boss you're a team player... and you'll be rewarded with more money, a promotion, and that coveted corner office with all those nice windows... wow... what a trade-off!

O.K., I'm not trying to dismiss those of you who are deeply invested in working hard... just trying to give you a different(better?) perspective. Here's the deal - "After all you've said and done, what have you gained... and, what did it cost you...?" (I actually met a man who claimed that cheating on his wife made him feel more like a 'man'... well, I guess that he's never heard of Karma... but let me reassure you, Karma has heard of him!)
Sorry, I digress... again!

Often we are fooled by society that we should(must) follow the conventional path, that it's really the only way to 'succeed', that to do otherwise is to be 'weird'(a 'Hippie' in my time)... so you bow down and comply... and after 30 plus years of being a good little boy or girl, you take a good look at your Life... and find that, somehow, it's not all guns and roses, not all Disney World, not all innocent expectations, but more like Truth-or-Dare. If it wasn't 'Truth' and you didn't 'Dare', then Life becomes just this lukewarm, placid, kinda spiceless, bland concoction. Yes, not truly 'bad', but not all that it could have been.

So, here's the deal - if you're O.K. with the way your Life turned out, then 'good for you', you're one of the few that have managed right(must have been some good-charm Karma from a previous Life)... but, if you think - just a little - that you could have more... then know this clearly - "YES, YOU CAN!"

See, Life is just about Energy... which has a vibration, a resonance that expresses Qualities - positive or negative, they are not 'good' or 'evil', but simple are. If you know how to change this, well heck, you now can change the world...(well, at least, your world)... all you need is the desire to change... And that leads me to the title of this little story... If at first you don't succeed...

FREEDOM... TO BE YOURSELF...

Freedom... to be yourself in Truth and Essence, is not achieved by adding more and more to your Life, but by taking away all that is no longer fruitful... until nothing else needs to be removed...

Now you are Free to be You... and Life shall reflect this, abundantly...
This is such a powerful concept that it is held as a vital 'secret' by many who are in power...
Our current material life is deeply shaped by how many things we must have in order to function...

Seriously, could you do away with your car, your phone, credit cards, TB, computer, internet... Most of us consider these to be 'essential' things which allow us to operate in this modern world, without which we cannot function, cannot work, nor 'live' (well, at least until you visit a third-world country, and then realize that 'Life's Basic Necessities' are still food, shelter and respect.)

But we are not talking about such backwards societies, we are talking about Life in the good ol' USA, where if you are without the latest technology... well, what are you?... some kind of rebel, left-wing trouble-maker...?! Don't you know that to be a consumer is the very foundation of our Democracy...?! (ehrr... sorry, that's a 'republic', right...?!)

Anyway, not to get too deviated from the main point - We all live a life bound by the demands of materialism, and these instantly affect how we are allowed to live... in turn, this affects how well we understand Freedom - and the Spiritual Path... (and what's on the other side of this Life... which reminds me of this silly joke - about the guy that was so filled with 'power' that he made a pact with Spirit that at the time of death he was allowed to take with him any one thing... and he chose all his gold... The Angels were puzzled, asking, "Why would he want to take paving stones with him...?" - told you it was silly...)

Anyhoo - It's not about how much you can have that defines the Happiness in your Life, but how much you can get rid of that will reveal the True Value in Life... and yes, that includes YOU(what are YOU worth... and does your Life demonstrate this...?)

So - this month's classes are offered around this concept of your True Essence... your True Value, and how it has been taken away from you... often with your innocent participation.

But don't despair... if there's one thing I'm good at is to show you what all you can do about it... (what, I never said I wasn't just a little bit of a rebel... well, in a good way...)

SO YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY... WELL, WATCHA GONNA DO 'BOUT IT, EH!?

More and more I'm realizing how much better Life could be - simply by considering different 'choices'... and here's the kicker - most people do NOT - I mean, would you seriously stay in a job which does not really respect you... but the money is good... how about a relationship where the sex is fine... but not much else...?(O.K., so maybe for some of you that's enough, but really, is that all your old age will be about?!)

What about the many times when you could have made a different choice... what would your Life have brought you?... and, why didn't you choose differently? Where you are 'afraid of success'? or simply couldn't be bothered?... how about that you didn't believe you could have more... or simply didn't think that 'something better' was available... so you just did what? 'settle for less than you're worth'...?

Look, I'm not trying to make you feel bad... no, really, I'm simply getting you to consider that there is sooooo much more that's available to you(yes, indeedy!) Trust me, I've been half way round the world and back... and it can be a most amazing, wonderful, fulfilling, 'blow your granma's socks right off' kind of place... (to the point that you just might look forward to your next incarnation... just saying...)

So how do we get there? Funny you should ask...
First, consider that EVERYTHING is within Spirit, so that everything is constantly available(even if poor little me ain't able to see it yet... just believe, O.K.?)
Next, take a step back from all your experiences, and the labels you gave them(good-bad-awful-never again... and, my favorite, what-was-I-thinking!?)... simply 'Observe'.
Now, ask yourself: "What caught me... why did I react so... what could I have done differently...? (and the most important one) "What was Spirit trying to tell me?"

With me so far?? Good! the solution is very close... look at all the wonderful, great, creative aspects that make you truly the unique person that you are... go deeper within your Radiance... and from this Center, look at the Choices that Life can bring you... and take the first step towards this new Future... (and don't be frightened!!)

Now, even as you read this some of you are shaking your head, saying things like; "Well, you don't understand... Life is not so simple... I just can't... I've tried, but no matter what, I simply never seem to...

Yes, I hear you... Life can be a bitch... but it doesn't always have to be... I also see that you really could succeed/love/live/prosper/change... and be ridiculously happy. So, for you I've created a series of seminars to help you get past your challenges... and that's what this month is all about... (Yup! I'm a nice guy... I want ALL of us to be our most radiant self)... so what say you, ready to blow the lid off this pop-stand?!?
