Sun Feb 19, 2017 - PACKING TO MOVE
We are eternally grateful to our customers for their recent help with our move. We had a few people who saved boxes and packing material in their basements over the last 5 months in preparation for this event. We had at least 16 wonderful packers answer the call for help on Sunday, February 19, and we were able to pack the entire store in one day.
Many, many humble thanks to several new and old friends who came to our rescue:
Gayle Bachicha Laura Ferre
SuEllen Shepard Edna Garcia
Linda L. Davis Denise Horne
Margaret Stone Barbara Fletcher
Marci McCaffery Therese Raynor
Toby Stearns Jill Stearns
Fordrena Griffith Sharon Medley
There may be a point in the life of a business when it ceases being just a destination to buy a gift for yourself or another, and it takes on a life of its own as a community or a spiritual gathering place. Once the store takes on that expanding energy, the purpose becomes clear. Service to the community, service to others is the most empowering reason for existing. I think we have achieved some measure of that existence with our customers.
